Open the hood, and you’ll see two types of fasteners holding in the upper portion of the OEM grille and the trim cover. Using the small screwdriver, pry up the center of the fastener by inserting the screwdriver into one of the three recesses in the fastener.

On the other type of fastener a sharp pick tool or something similar will work best. If you access the bottom pushing up helps too.

The center posts will come up about 1/4" and stop. Now grab the protruding center portion with your fingertips, pull up, and it will pop out. If you have any difficulty, try shifting the grille around a bit to allow the holes in the grille and in the mounting surface underneath to better align themselves, or prying a bit under the large outer diameter of the fastener. Set the four fasteners aside, they will be reused to install your Active Tuning Grille.

To remove the two lower fasteners, you will need to release the tabs with your fingertips. Rotate the grille forward enough to reach your behind it, and apply upward pressure to the center of the tabs from underneath. When all four have been released the grilled can be pulled straight forward and set aside. You may store the OEM grille in the ActiveTuning Grille box.

This portion of the bumper cover may be masked and sprayed semi-flat black or flat black in order to be less visible through the grille mesh.
Now carefully place the AT Grille in the grille opening by centering it and inserting the two lower retainer tabs into the corresponding holes in the bumper cover. When the grille is in the desired position, fold the tabs downward to hold it there. Reinstall the upper fasteners and the trim cover.
Clean off your new grille, close the hood and you’re done!
