To install your ActiveTuning Lower Grille, you first need to remove either the upper grille (refer to the S2 Grille or Luxury Grille installation instructions if you are unsure how to do this) or remove the five fasteners at the front edge of the lower splash shield. Remove these by prying out the center post 1/4" with a small screwdriver, and then remove the entire fastener. You can then pull down the front edge of the splash shield to access the backside of the lower grille opening and begin installation.

You are provided with 6 small black zip ties for installation. One will be installed at each end, and the remaining four are equally spaced and located approximately in the center of the four openings created by the five sets of vertical dividers which locate the horizontal bar in the opening.

Locate each zip tie and pre-install it into the mesh at each location as shown:

You now need to reach behind and close the ties. This is an exercise in manual dexterity. :-) Don’t pull them tight until they are all closed, and the grille is centered in the opening Then tighten them and cut off the excess. Replace your lower splash shield or grille and you are done!
