Installation

These points are approximations, please refer to the closeups for exact locations:

First we will install the 17" supplemental Chassis Ground. One end is installed onto the negative battery terminal with the nut provided as shown:

The other end is mounted to the inner fender bolt hole left from removing the factory intake. Be sure to remove the paint for good contact first as shown:

If your stock airbox is still in place, remove one of these bolts:

Then install the cable with the M6 bolt provided in the hardware kit:

The 20" long cable is the supplemental transmission ground. Bolt one end under the 10mm bolt head visible directly under the MAF and holding a small bracket to the top of the transmission as shown(You may use the most easily accessible accessory bracket bolt on the top of the transmission and near the starter):

On an auto trans remove the bolt holding the wire harness bracket to the motor mount and install the cable under that bolt:

For the 2005 Altima, please follow these pictures:

The other end goes to the chassis on the drivers side strut tower as shown:

In the absence of this clutch fluid reservoir you will need to use the extra bolt provided in one of the same two holes:

The 26" cable is an engine ground. Look for a small threaded hole at the bottom of the valve cover near the dipstick, and bolt one end here with the M6 bolt provided. Clearance is tight, so make sure that you tuck the terminal under the flange of the valve cover and up tight against the gasket before installing and tightening the bolt. After tightening bend the terminal slightly to clear the coolant tube and the dipstick tube:

The other end attaches with the 10mm bolt holding the front coolant reservoir bracket to the inner fender. First remove the bolt holding the coolant reservoir to its bracket:

This gives additional clearance to remove the other bracket bolt from the inner fender, and to install the cable terminal. Reinstall first bolt after installing cable under second bolt. The terminal can be bent slight here for a better fit also:

The last 12" cable is installed from the intake manifold to the passenger side strut tower. Remove the 10mm bolt at the inside rear corner of the top of the strut tower at the plastic cowl and, the long 12mm bolt at the top of the plate on the passenger side of the intake manifold and install the last cable as shown here:

That’s it you’re done! You should notice a smoother running engine, faster starting, a better idle, a few additional HP and better mileage.
