   The same size they have always been, I don’t have mesh anywhere near me to measure. Please look at the customer galleries for the three grilles to get an idea of how it is. Also here’s a higher quality shot of the diamond mesh on a customers car:

   Hey DAVE! haha i got one.. im so happy. I bought the oval mesh.. which im completly happy with. but just out of pure intrest… haha is there any way that you can remove the mesh and replace it with some mesh i bought at like a hardware store?

   We won’t have the capability to do that with our setup right now, but you’ll be able to remove the mesh and use a different one if you’d like. Just shoot me an e-mail when you get the grille if you need any help.

    J.R. - The only thing you can do right now is check this page on a daily basis for new inventory, and purchase what’s available. We aren’t doing custom made to order right now.

    What’s the latest on the next batch of S4.1s? Sounds like you are easing in some colors beside black and silver. Hoping you can add some smoke to the mix of S4.1’s. My birthday is coming up and I want to treat myself to one of these grilles! Been waiting/wanting patiently.

    Sean - Grilles will be released as we have them ready to go. There will be a couple smoke S4.1’s more than likely. I highly recommend continuing to check this page on a daily basis for any new grilles that go up….as the inventory will show up here and on the product pages.

    The grille came in today. oh it is sooooo scikk. i couldn’t be more satisified. i have blacked out headlights with tinted windows and that black grille on my silver 05 altima.. oh it looks so sick. im about to get a body kit and have the whole car repainted. i’ll upload some cool pics as soon as i have it completed. thanks so much. -NICK

    hey dave why is the s5 advertised for 205 on the site but the cheapest grille you offer is 299? i went ahead and bought one but i was more looking toward in buying the cheaper version of the s5 and was a bit disappointed.

    - phillip - the $205 is the base price, unpainted, oval hole mesh, natural aluminum. The grille you purchased includes the options like paint and powerdcoated mesh which upped the price.

    I can’t say for sure, we have some coming up, best bet is to keep staying tuned. I know it’s taking a while for each one to get released, but we’re doing them as fast as we can.

    As I mentioned, I usually don’t have much insight as to what will be coming up. A black S5 may or may not be coming. If you NEED a grille, I would recommend buying another color and re-painting it. Otherwise, unless otherwise stated, you’ll need to wait.

    There are a few upcoming S4.1’s, it may be quite some time before we get more S5’s. If you need an S5, you may want to consider getting a different color and then repainting it.

    I would highly recommend taking it to your local body shop to get it re-painted. They will do the best job and match the paint the best, unless you have experience in paint and body work.

    i know that for good finish u have to sand it and all that but i just dont wanna pay extra for that if i can do it myself.. i just like to know what kind of paint should i used for the very first layer til the finish one. any suggestions would b greatly apreciated. if u dont mind u can just send me an email with the feedback. thks dave.

    Nate as we’ve been saying, there is unfortunately no way for us to take requests on grilles now, and we have no insight as to what’s coming. Best bet is to stay tuned to this site to see IF one comes and doesn’t get sold out before you buy…or if you really want one, I’d buy one painted another color and then take it to your local body shop to get it repainted to match your car.

    As mentioned before, I don’t know what colors are coming. I can’t say with 100% certainty, but there will most likely not be a code red grille any time soon that we offer. In that case, you may need to buy a non-red color and have your local body shop repaint it to match your car. I understand this is a hassle and it costs more money, but there’s unfortunately nothing we can do.

    sound like you are making a batch of smoke S4.1 grilles. Can you do a diamond mesh without powdercoating? I know you dont always know what is coming down the line, but Im not sure how your process works and how much control you have.

    We unfortunately do not sell just the mesh.

    The smoke S4.1’s may be done in terms of what we have. If we get another one down the pipe though, I’m pretty sure it will be non powdercoated mesh…but again, I don’t have much insight and will never suggest waiting out just because I can’t make any promises as to what’s coming.

    I didnt want just a piece of mesh, but a s4.1 aluminum diamond mesh grille. You guys could make a nice business for yourselves if you actually worked in a way that you asked people what they wanted, take a deposit, and make that grille in a 1-2 month window. You’d have more happy customers. Seems like you are just a mouth piece for some all powerful grille making dictator. Im kidding here but if you took a decent size deposit, and told people it could take 4-8 wks, you’d be happy, the customer would be happy and the grille making dictator would be too!

    Sean - I understand what you meant regarding the mesh, but we don’t sell it separately.

    I know what you mean about the way we’re doing business here, and it’s extremely far from how I want things done…but unfortunately due to a bunch of circumstances on our end which we don’t make public, this is the only way for us to provide grilles at this point in time.

    If I could make it easier I would, believe me!

    Thanks for the prompt response. I checked out the gallery. Not all the images; actually just a few have the name description of the grilles.
    I am interested in the grilles with small holes so less light penetrates in through the grille. I like the grille on image 28 and 33. What type grille is that?

    At this time there are no black S5 grilles in the pipeline, as I’ve mentioned before I highly recommend getting another color and having it painted locally to match your car.

    I have an 06 SE-R as well, and wanting to get a Smoke S5 grille.

    Looking at picutres of everyone’s cars, I think I like the diamond mesh better, but would take either one. I also like the clean look of no badging.

    I will keep waiting to see what comes up. I do not need the grille that much to pay the extra money to have someone else re-paint it. Also keeping my eye on e-bay and nissan club to see if a used one ever shows up.

    Are you accepting people to be put on a list? I am willing to place a deposit down if so.

    What is the status of these? Is Active Tuning a middle man or do you actually produce these?

    I just don’t understand why there is no supply for the demand?

    In fact, I’m considering building my own with my tool and die experience and start marketing them and selling them to meet this demand. Help us out Dave.

    Doug - we are not accepting deposits because we have no insight or timeframe when grilles will be released.

    ActiveTuning is the manufacturer but it is a part-time business for us. We do grilles when we can and make them available when they’re ready.

    I would not recommend copying the grille due to copyright, but if you’re interested in licensing the mold out or even outright buying it from us to manufacture yourself, it’s something we may consider. Contact me.
